Focused on creating something sustainable, special and useful, this stationery set serves the purpose of sending messages, while still retaining an individual identity as a piece of art that one can appreciate and showcase. I explored embossing, various paper weights and colors and handmade paper textures. Experimenting with different materials allowed for a bit of intricate detail, while still keeping the space for writing clean and simple. All of the cards are embossed on a natural recycled paper with a blank white bamboo paper piece stitched to the back for messages. The process of relief and inklings of three dimensionality truly capture the feathers and forms of the birds. Cropping the designs created much more intriguing compositions and a more intimate atmosphere.
